Power Cleans and Percentage of 1 RM effect on Rate of Force Development and Peak Power

So today I didn’t really train since I am competing on Sunday. Instead we had a play around with the gym’s ballistic system. I performed power cleans at 4 different percentiles of 1RM and we came across the following.

As you can see there is a tendency to increase up to 81% which then drops off at 90% of 1RM. This will serve as a possible pilot for a few load % and RFD/PP studies in the future.

Rate of Force development was not too negatively effected by the 10% increase yet peak power was which is pretty interesting.

Hope you find this data of use.
